Tea Parties and Once

Hello there! I'm back again with a weekend of fun. My dad got my mom tickets to see a Broadway Musical for Valentine's Day, and my mom decided to make a day out of it. We went into the city to the cute little cafe "Alice's Tea Cup : Chapter 1." There are three of these tea places in the city each, corresponding with a chapter of the book. It was a fairly busy place and we had to wait for awhile to be seated, but once we were you couldn't help but look around. Everything was mismatching and whimsical. The tea list was extravagant and it was more of a picking instead of big meals. I ordered rooibo red berries tea, which was alright, but it would have been better iced! We were in a bit of a rush to get to the theatre, so we ate quickly and didn't have time to enjoy the quirks of the resturant. Here's some of the snaps I took while there:
How adorable is this teapot?!
My favorite part was the paintings on the bathroom walls. Loom how elaborate these are!
After grabbing a grilled cheese, we hopped onto a train and headed to the theatre. We arrived to the actors goofing around on stage with Irish songs and dancing. When "Once" started, I was astonished by how beautifully everything flowed. It was a one set play with all the actors on stage during the whole performance. The story was well done but also heart-wrenching. In short, a man from Dublin finds himself lost until he comes across a Czech women who is willing to help him reach his dreams. Along the way there is attraction between the two and the tension plays out between the two. The music was as melodious as could be and I'm humming "Falling Slowly" as we speak. I definitely recommend going to see "Once" and I'm quite tempted to find the movie version somewhere.
That was a mouthful! I hope you enjoyed this long post. Hopefully it makes up for all the time off... Anyway, see you all soon!
