Sentimental Birthday Gift: DIY

I have a really close friend that decided to celebrate her birthday with a small Sweet 16. She is very much into things that mean a lot, and laughing at memories. So, I need to find her a gift that would make her feel happy, and that is still nice to look at. So, I went to my local craft store, picked up some multicolored tissue paper, glue and a glass jar. I glued ripped up tissue paper, overlapping them onto the inside of the glass. I used a foam square brush for the glue and just used my hands or the back of the brush to get the tissue paper inside. I then cut up old cardstock and wrote some memories we have shared. And the result ended up like this:
I like the tie-dye mish-mosh effect going on. Of course I gave her something else as well, but I did enjoy making this little trinket. Hope you enjoyed reading. Comment if you want to! Thanks!
Also a picture of the birthday girl and me (and her brother photo-bombing)!
